About Us

We are a group of natives and residents of Arraial d'Ajuda, with extreme affection for the place where we were born or chose to live, concerned not only with the present and future of our district, but also with preserving its past.

"Casas da Praça" is a project that aims to do exactly that. We believe that the history of Arraial d'Ajuda is important and should be preserved. We also believe that its story can be told in a way that is accessible and attractive to everyone.

We decided to support the project to create "Casas da Praça", an open-air museum with the stories of the houses around the historic center of Arraial d'Ajuda and its church square - Praça Brigadeiro Eduardo Gomes.
The houses in the square bear witness to the city's history and represent the culture and identity of its residents.

With this project, we want to show the world the richness and diversity of Arraial d'Ajuda. We want people to be able to learn about our history and get to know the culture of the local people.

We believe that this project will help to promote tourism and the local economy; it will attract visitors from all over the world who are interested in learning about the history and culture of Arraial d'Ajuda.
